The children from Key Stage 2 took part in our summer showcase at the Carnegie Theatre in Workington last night and it left us speechless!

What an incredible performance by every child on that stage. It was an exceptionally hot, very long day, but my goodness that did not deter the children. They were absolutely phenomenal and so very well supported by a very enthusiastic audience.

Mr MacCreedy  did an amazing job organising it all and was supported at the show by another 12 members of the team who were there yesterday. A special thank you to our fabulous dance teacher Rachel and of course our favourite musician Mr Strachan. None of this would have been possible without the whole team involved so a huge  thank you goes to them. Thank you also to Miss Barker for sorting and issuing the tickets.

Of course, the biggest thank you goes to the children. It’s a huge thing to stand on a stage at any age, but they were absolute professionals and the response of the audience just kept lifting them. From France to America, Mexico to Africa we travelled the globe with the children’s dances and songs, based on what they had been learning about in class. We are beyond proud of each and every one of them.

This was our first summer showcase and it won’t be our last.

WELL DONE AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLED.
